About
A small shop, one rule:
build it like it'll still be here in fifty years.
Kevin started Law of the Craft in 2020, building custom furniture out of a two-car garage. He's self-taught at the bench, picking up the trade by working alongside other carpenters in the area and putting in the kind of time on each piece that bigger shops just can't afford to spend.
A few years in, the work grew from furniture into general carpentry and home remodeling. These days Kevin and his team take on whole kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. Every project still gets the same eye for detail you'd expect from a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture, because that's where the shop started and that's still how we think about everything we build.
We work with solid hardwoods, traditional joinery, modern hardware, and finishes that can hold up to family life. We serve Chester County, Delaware County, and the Main Line. Built-ins and remodels usually book a few months out. Smaller furniture and shop goods turn around faster.
